Two personal journeys shaped by healing, curiosity, and
the search for deeper meaning.
For over twelve years, Valeria Hinojosa walked a path of inner work — exploring therapies, practices, and teachings that could support her healing and growth on emotional, spiritual, and personal levels. Along the way, she often wished for one place where these tools could coexist: a space rooted in integrity, depth, and care. She couldn't find it, so Cura emerged from that absence.
In 2025, Cura took its first tangible step forward during a conversation Valeria had with her brother, Diego. Walking a similar conscious path and bringing a background in project management, he joined the vision, helping transform a long-held dream into a living platform.
Cura takes its name from curar and curandera— to heal, to tend, to restore. It is a conscious digital platform created to support those seeking meaningful growth through intentional tools, one-on-one therapies, educational content, courses, workshops, and in-person experiences. Every offering within Cura is rooted in lived experience, ancestral wisdom, and modern understanding.
This platform is an extension of the journey Valeria shared in her book "En busca de la suavidad" — a gathering of the healers, guides, and practices that have accompanied her own transformation. Cura exists as a space to explore healing not as something to fix, but as a relationship we learn to cultivate with ourselves and with life.
Valeria is an author, environmental activist, and holistic wellness guide devoted to cultivating a life in deeper relationship with nature, spirit, and inner awareness. Twelve years ago, she left a career in private banking to follow a path more aligned with her values and connection to Mother Earth, giving rise to her platform WaterThruSkin, now reaching over 400,000 readers worldwide.
Rooted in more than a decade of personal and spiritual inquiry, Valeria's work is informed by years of inner work, lived experience, and continuous learning across emotional, spiritual, and embodied practices.
Most recently, Valeria wrote Finding Softness (En Busca de La Suavidad) with HarperCollins, a reflection on how reconnecting with the natural world — and the self — reshaped her understanding of growth, healing, and what it means to live with intention.
After living in Miami for fifteen years, Valeria experienced another profound shift. Recognizing how the pace of city life was slowly depleting her spirit, she chose to decelerate and reimagine sustainability through softness. This transition deepened her devotion to herbal medicine, eco-conscious living, plant-based nourishment, organic gardening, yoga, and holistic therapies — practices that continue to inform her belief that moving at our own rhythm is essential medicine for both personal and collective healing.
Valeria holds certifications in Herbalism and Ancestral Medicine, Yoga (RYT 200), and International Business, and continues to bridge ancestral wisdom with modern life through her work, teachings, and platforms.
Her work has been featured in Forbes, Vogue, WWD, People, ELLE, Telemundo, El País, and other international media outlets.
Diego is an architect and project strategist with a deep appreciation for design, structure, and intentional creation. Trained in architecture, he developed a solution-oriented approach to building ideas — understanding how thoughtful processes, aesthetics, and functionality come together to bring meaningful projects to life.
Over the years, his work has expanded beyond architecture into creative and technology-driven initiatives, where he has contributed to the development and management of projects at the intersection of design, innovation, and digital platforms.
Originally from Bolivia, Diego spent time living in the United States before settling in Barcelona in 2013, a city that has deeply influenced his creative and professional outlook. His passion for design extends beyond architecture into a personal design practice that emerges through moments of inspiration, reflecting his belief that beauty and thoughtful aesthetics shape how we experience and relate to the world around us.
Alongside his professional path, Diego has been on a personal and spiritual journey since his early twenties. Through periods of travel and intentional sabbaticals, he has immersed himself in different cultures and spiritual traditions, seeking deeper understanding and perspective. Over the years, he has explored different healing modalities and transformative practices that have helped him reconnect with his energy and gain greater clarity about purpose and personal growth.
Through Cura, Diego channels both his creative and structural vision — helping shape the space, the experience, and the platform that brings together diverse paths of healing. His intention is to contribute to building an environment where people feel inspired to explore themselves more deeply and move toward a more conscious and authentic way of living.
Cura's mission is to make inner-work and ancestral wisdom accessible, embodied, and human.
We exist to support spiritual, emotional, personal, and professional growth through conscious tools and practices that honor the nervous system, the body, and the soul. Cura bridges ancestral knowledge with contemporary therapies, offering a thoughtful ecosystem of guidance for those navigating change, transition, and self-discovery.
At its core, Cura believes that healing happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, listen, and move at our own rhythm. We are here to hold space — with integrity, respect, and softness — for people to reconnect with their inner wisdom and remember that growth does not require urgency, but presence.
